Lahore: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has taken serious note of opening batsman Imran Nazir’s disgruntled behaviour during a domestic Twenty20 match, and denied him a place in the national squad.
PCB chairman Ijaz Butt said Nazir would not be included in the team despite submitting a No-Objection-Certificate (NOC) from the Indian Cricket League (ICL) because of his indiscipline during the final of the National Twenty20 Cup.
Nazir was adjudged leg-before-wicket by umpire Nadeem Ghauri in the match. He reacted angrily to the decision by repeatedly hitting his bat on the ground.
