XXX Inter Unit Petroleum Sports Promotion Board (PSPB) Carrom Tournament

GUWAHATI, Jan 2: Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) is hosting the XXX Inter Unit Petroleum Sports Promotion Board (PSPB) Carrom Tournament at Kushal Konwar Memorial Indoor Stadium, Jorhat from January 3. Teams from Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd., Gas Authority of India Limited, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited, Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited and host team from Numaligarh Refinery Limited will be participating in the tournament. Current world champion Yogesh Pardeshi from IOCL and other International players like Sandeep Deurukhkar, K Ramesh Babu, Ashok Babu, will be participating in the tournament. Tournament will be inaugurated by Director (Finance) of NRL Nilmoni Bhakta.

GUWAHATI, Jan 2: Radiance Club of Sivasagar registered 23 runs win against Bud Cricket Club in the Ramesh Barua Invitational Cricket Tournament held at the Judges’ Field here today. Batting first, Radiant scored 245 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 40 overs. Bharat Newar scored 65 runs. Gokul Sharma and Rishav Das captured two wickets win. In reply, Bud were bowled out for 222 runs in 39 overs. Bhaskar Kalita though played a good knock of 86 runs but it was not enough for the team to win the match. Rafiquddin claimed three wickets while Bhaskar (2-40), who was also successful with the ball, received the man of the match award. THE SENTINEL
